High risk pregnancy
Special care for high-risk pregnancies

Certain pregnancy conditions (e.g. twin pregnancy, gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension) or diseases (e.g. autoimmune diseases, blood clotting disorders, thyroid diseases, depression) carry the possibility of more and greater maternal/fetal problems compared to an average pregnancy. They are the special expectant mothers who need extra care.

Ők azok speciális kismamák, akik gondozása extra körültekintést igényel!

The aim of pregnancy care is to reduce the chance of developing complications , and to reverse the processes leading in the wrong direction with targeted medicinal countermeasures, if this is possible.

Closer than usual follow-up and additional (extra) examinations also serve this purpose. It often involves teamwork with representatives of other professions (diabetologist, dietician, endocrinologist, immunologist, hematologist, psychiatrist, neurologist colleagues).

"Fragile, handle with care"

It is strongly recommended to undergo a more thorough check-up before having a child , where important but hidden diseases can be recognized and already known underlying diseases can be fine-tuned for pregnancy.

These are typically anemia, iron deficiency, under/overactive thyroid gland, overweight, insulin resistance, high blood pressure. It can be especially revealing if a complication has already occurred in a previous pregnancy. Pre-baby gynecological examination and consultation are available at my office.
