congratulations to your unborn baby! The aim of the prenatal care is to follow the development of the fetus(es) and the changes in the mother's body during the 9 months. Pregnancy is basically a physiological, natural process, medical intervention is only needed when abnormality is detected. The purpose of the screening tests is to be assured about the wellbeing of mother & fetus, and that we can recognize the disorders as soon as possible.
